Cloud Computing

According to Wikinvest, "Cloud computing is a technology that uses the internet and central remote servers to maintain data and applications.  Cloud computing allows consumers and businesses to use applications without installation and access their personal files at any computer with internet access.  This technology allows for efficient computing by centralizing storage, memory, processing and bandwidth."

Design Importance

Design touches everything.  The importance of design hinges on the ability to set goals/intentions and work towards solutions to the defined problem.  "Good" design has been the hot topic on the tongues of every potent New Media Designer as of late.  It seems that the crux of this situation lays on a thread-thin fine-line between functionality and presentation.  "Good" web related design MUST: captivate, navigate, and inform.

The Big Scheme

the big scheme is what is happening right now. Its a scam, a lie, a tall tale if you just want to believe in it. it is the biggest wave out there and it is coming to shore. Now is the time to dig in and learn to walk on water. Social Design for the future...anachronistic artists pushing boundaries and materials is right now. the deconstructionists are at play. At play is when they do their best work. The old models have failed under our own accord. We were tiered and bored with them. Evolution has made the sirens call. We set sail on these waters tonight.

Security Scrutiny

Image By: Robert David Reedy 2010

Security is an ideal, but nothing is really secure.  Anything and everything can happen.  It is a wilde world out there.  Despite your faith, you my jackpot or craps out.  That is just the way it is.  the online world is no different.  Of course there are security proticals and products, advancments designed to keep your highly prized information "safe".  But is anything really safe and risk free- absolutly not.  Even the most advanced and secure government entities get hacked.  Hacking could certainly become the new modern warfare.

Hack Crack

LIFE HACKING
image by: Robert David Reedy 2010 copywrite

Life hacking is just a huge catch phrase for "getting stuff done".  It refers to the  ideals of productivity that utilize both silicon based technology and pseudo-scientific psychological new-age techniques.  Ive been surfing around the Life Hacking keywords and have found a plethora of how to's and PHD's pitching their new variation of last years self help fad.  By no means do I intend to persuade my loyal audience into thinking I am dogging on Life Hacking- quite the contrary.  I am now a full fledged card carrying Life Hacker.  If you wanna get stuff done you gotta learn to HACK.

Feed US!!! RSS Feeds the World.

Only RSS Can Feed Us!
Are you hungry and can not find food for thought?  There is now no reason to starve.  RSS Feeds the World!

So RSS feeds are now the new tragicly hip thing to be into.  If your not feeding on the Real Simple Syndicate then you need to open up and say AAAHHHHHH!!!

As per Wikipedia : RSS (most commonly expanded as Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format.  An RSS document includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship. Web feeds benefit publishers by letting them syndicate content automatically. They benefit readers who want to subscribe to timely updates from favored websites or to aggregate feeds from many sites into one place.

"Get Out Of My Head" TWITTER= Tech Telepathy

Twitter is just the beginning!  We are pushing forward into the realms of sci-fi and we have only ourselves to blame.  Is this evolution or just fate?

I can only imagine what the kids three generations from now will say and or think about our current media craze Twitter.  Of course to call it a craze might seem shortsighted and naive, but this whole deluge of instant information is becoming a little hysterical.  All be it that I am a newbie to the tweet scene, I still have not found the solid and relevant foundations for which to proclaim my allegiance to the little blue birdy.

The Presentation Situation

Obviously, strong presentation abilities are crucial. If you are interested in being successful within any sphere relating to commerce you must be able to captivate your audience. From my perspective, presentations are just another sales technique. Not that I am a supreme god of sales, but I have worked in a few "boiler rooms" and I have seen all the tricks. Regardless of what some stupid book on presentation skills and or effective sales techniques tell you, the meat of wowing people is in your enthusiasm, attitude, and knowledge of the information your are pitching. "Sell the sizzle, not the steak."

HTML IS NOT FUNNY

Q: Why was the XHTML bird an invalid?
A: Because it wasn't nested properly.

HTML is not funny.  There is absolutely nothing funny about it.  This is serious.

The past week has been a belly flop off the high dive into the pool of HTML-and it was not pretty.  Of course HTML is extremely important.  Without it there would be no cool stuff on the internet to look at.  In fact, this conversation with all my loyal followers could not take place without this highly prized language.  HTML comprehension is pertinent to an aspiring internet wise guy such as myself, but I beg to ask the question "Why is this not fun?"

The World Of Cool

www.pluggd.com

I have just recently arrived to the universe of blog.  Of course I am not an idiot.  I have heard of, clicked through, and mostly ignored blogs since their conception.  This is primarily due to the fact that I value aesthetics and have little patience for boredom.  I know what I like when I see it and if I'm not turned on within the first few glimpses I am off and running looking for something that captivates.  The mainstay of blogs that I have bumped into do not demand my attention.

Recently I have dived into this blogosphere minutia looking for something that excites my aesthetic taste buds.  What I have found is just a loud white noise.  Opinions and comments and ramblings that leave me wanting something else.  I can not exactly state what it is that I am seeking, but the four letter word cool keeps defining my approval ratings.  Of course cool is arbitrary, but it is also obvious.  Once one finds cool one knows cool.
